We took a quick day trip down to San Diego as it only takes around an hour from Fullerton so we couldn’t miss the opportunity. Everyone
we know told us how much they love the place and it certainly lived up to it’s great reputation!
WHAT WE DID
Oceanside & The Seals
Enroute as you head to San Diego from the north stop off at the Oceanside area where you can get up close to the seals on the rocks.
However, don’t get too close or you’ll find out the consequences from the seals themselves.
A great tourist area with some fun rides, shops and places to get food to relax with on the beach.
A unique, beautiful area which magically makes you feel like you’re over in the Mediterranean instead. Take a walk or the free shuttle
to explore all the separate areas and the Japanese gardens.
A must see stop for some dinner or lunch. It’s a small area but transports you to an old Mexican town. Explore the
traditional shops for some Mexican souvenirs and then stop off at one of the restaurants for some true Mexican dishes.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST
All of It!
All of the recommendations to go here were true – we have nothing bad to say about San Diego.

Tips & Tricks
If driving to San Diego from the north, get off the motorway and take the scenic coastal route. It may take longer but you get to see
some beautiful ocean views and some lovely small surfer towns along the way.
